Well its been a fairly up and down month or so since I last posted. As many of you know I have not only this little piece of cyberspace, but a PSP tag tutorial site and PSP forum. In late September after a long and painful illness my partner in crime in these ventures Mz Lushes, passed away from complications of her illness.

This has left rather a lot of extra responsibility for me, even though I have some fabulous staff at the forum, its more the having to make decisions on my own .... and having no-one to back me up quite the way Lushes did.

Todays kit is dedicated to my friend, who I will miss more than I can say. It is called Lushes Jewel, because that is what she was. I sure hope you enjoy it.

It is saved as a psd file @ 300 dpi so if you really wanted to it could be used for printing.

OMG - Moving House Sux

So sorry to be out of touch for so long. We had to move house. So I was too busy searching for a new house and then packing up and moving, my poor little blog got neglected.

Moving is just the worst job. I hate it sooooo much. I guess at least I had a good clean out and got rid of lots of junk, now I have to make sure I don't accumulate again. I think we will be having 6 monthly clean outs so it never gets so much again.

Before I lost my internet I did buy a big lot of commercial use goodies, that I didn't have time to even download let alone use. So I will be downloading them asap and I hope to have a new kit out for you all soon. I do still have some unpacking to do but I figure I deserve a little time out from the unpacking every now and then.

New Freebie: My Darkest Love

Long time no see eh. If you read my earlier post you will see I've been out of action for a while but I'm back now and with a new kit for you. It's called 'My Darkest Love' and I hope you like.

Thankyou to all who have left me such lovely comments, I appreciate each and every one of them. It is for you guys that I take the trouble to make my freebies.

Speaking of freebies ... the donation kitty is ... well ....empty. So if anyone is feeling the love click the Paypal button and leave a donation to help keep these kits ALWAYS free.

If you can't donate, that's ok too. I totally understand being broke, its a permanent state of affairs for me these days. The old saying about you never appreciate what you have until it is gone is true, I didn't realise how lucky I was to have my health and a decent well paying job until I got too sick to work. Not that I'm having a woe is me moment, I'm a whole lot better off than a lot of people, and I'm darn grateful for that.

Gosh that's about the longest blog you've ever had from me, so enough. On to the freebie. It is at 200dpi and saved as a psd file so it can be opened by both PSP and Photoshop users. Hope this helps out. I did it at the higher resolution too so perhaps it may be more useful for traditional scrappers.

Wow I actually started this post a month ago ... I can't believe its been that long. I have been really really sick for weeks. I know I'm really sick when I don't go to the computer and I didn't touch it for nearly 3 weeks. However I am finally back on my feet and feeling funky so I will actually finish off my list. I also have a new kit almost finished so keep your eyes peeled for that in the next couple of days.

Here's my 7 facts.

1. I'm terrified of heights and enclosed spaces, elevators seriously make me nervous.

2. I was raised by my grandparents and only went to live with my mum when I was 8, guess that accounts for why we were more like friends than mother and daughter.

3. I am the only child of an only child - so I don't have any aunties or uncles or any 1st cousins.

4. Clowns freak me out.

5. Frogs terrify me silly. Comes from having an outdoor toilet as a child that was full of frogs, so when you sat on the loo, they used to touch you with their icky little sucker feet, right on your butt!!

6. I was born in Inglewood in Queensland, Australia and it was 110 degree F the day I was born ... no wonder I don't like the heat.

7. My partner and I have lived together for 22 years, everyone thinks we are married but we've never done the deed. Maybe when we're 70. LOL

Another new kit for you today. I was on a bit of a roll the other day and actually made this one straight after Barbi's Gone Dotti, but decided to give you all a bit of a break before I posted it.

Its back to my more usual style. A little softer and less 'bright'. I must say I enjoyed making the bright dotty one, but oh my eyes hurt by the time I finished it.

I've included some matching sequins and glitter tiles in this kit, so you can make your own swirly things (or whatever) you want to co-ordinate with the kit. Even use the glitter for making names with. Just load it into your material palette and away you go.

Its in 4 downloads, again for the peeps on dialup.

Gosh it seems likes ages since I made a kit. I set myself a task to make something quite bright, as I tend to go for soft pretty things when I'm creating and ignore the brights. So put your sunglasses on!!! LOL

It's dedicated to a very special friend of mine, Pinkie Minx aka Barbi, who is a wonderful and generous friend, that I feel very privledged to know.

I've been surprised at my forum to find so many people on dial-up so I have broken the kit into 4 parts. Hopefully that helps for those of you on dial-up.

Wow 2 kits in a week. I got all inspired and got stuck into the new kit the last couple of days. One of my forum minxes suggested pink & aqua as the colours, so this one is for you Debi Lynn. I tried to post it last night, but I don't know if it was Blogger or my Computer but it wouldn't play nice. That's okay though, as I thought of a few more things I want to add to it, while I was lying in bed peeved at the computer, so there will be some extras coming too in the next few days.

Selling My Kits

Well I've made a decision with regard to selling my kits and have decided that at this point in time I wont be creating paid kits. The reason being that there are so many psp tutorials being written now with PTU kits that I think it is killing our pastime. I am not going to do anything to help that along.

However, in order to bring you new and exciting freebies I would like to purchase some commercial use items, but that is not something I can afford at the moment. So I have decided to add a PayPal donation button. That way if you have downloaded and liked my freebies and are in a position to lend a hand you can. If you are a bit like me and short of dollars, you don't have to pay to get my stuff. This is the fairest thing I could think of.

Its seems like ages since I made you a kit. I've been working on this one for a while. My psp died, my internet went out and then I reformatted my computer, so its been in the works for what seems like forever. Its called Pink Lemonade and I hope you like it.

Thank you to those who answered my poll. Its given me heart that maybe I could help out with the family coffers .... which would be awesome at the moment let me tell you.

I have a poll for you ..... basically I would like to know if you would buy my kits for around a $1US. I recently had to give up work due to illness and I have been wondering if I could help the family coffers a little bit with my kits. I would still do freebies too of course :)

An Answer to some Questions

I've had a couple of people ask what I mean by 'suitable for tagging' in my kits. It means that they are sized much smaller than normal digital scrap kits, which are sized to be printed out at 12 inches x 12 inches.

My kits are for use in 'tags' like the one below which I made with the EarthRose kit.


As tags are generally displayed online, the resoloution of my kits is only at 72dpi. Papers are generally only 600 x 600 pixels, and elements sized to suit.

I guess if you wanted they could be printed, but you are not going to get the kind of resolution you would with the scrapbooking specific kits you generally download.
